Introduction

+. Service dog, Therapy Dog Training. My whole goal is to bring family and pets closer together. Bring zen and serenity within the home. I use positive reinforcement training. Treats, toys, praise. We will fade from the treats, and toys as new behaviors are formed. Then we follow cues or commands, treats are then used for new cues (commands). There is no gimmick just a lot of reinforcement of good behavior and making training fun. I'm a Veteran and can also train for therapy, emotional support, and service dogs. CGC evaluator.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have three different packages. 6-week classes. Hourly rate $40. Puppy 6-week. Basic Obedience for older dogs. Intermediate and advanced packages. CGC training. Behavioral modifications.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Assessment which is one hr. to assess what kind of training or behavioral modifications needed for your Pup.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

-Veterinarian Assistant. -Dog Training ABCD. -CGC evaluator. -Therapy, emotional support, service dog.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I did many years of kennel work and day cares. Then I wanted to learn about the anatomy of the animals and became a veterinarian assistant. Then I was introduced to a wonderful woman who was a trainer and was learning to behaviorist in the field. she is my mentor and now I'm digging into books pushing into why dogs react to certain stimuli or their surroundings and why they react to things.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All kinds of animal lovers. I did pet boarding and pet sitting.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Giving 15% discounts to adopted dogs in your home.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask questions like did they go to a school and do they have mentors to help with certain behaviors. Does the trainer know behavior modifications. What methods they use I use the positive reinforcement method. If there is a situation I can't modify I will refer you to a veterinarian and or another Dog Trainer.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Dog`s react to the stimulus they don't have human emotions they react especially if it is behavioral modifications. Tell me strait facts and not what you think they are feeling look at their body language.
